Using assets from Art Director and cover designer Bob Mansfield, I come up with a strategy for how each cover will animate and then recreate the covers in After Effects. For covers covering specific Forbes lists, I animate the list logo (Forbes 400, 30 Under 30), and I try to keep animation engaging but also true to the prestige of a Forbes cover. Striking that balance is a fun monthly challenge.
This recurring project is easily one of my favorite recurring design assignments at Forbes.

I created three videos in the 'Success Stories' motion graphics series, which highlights the backstories of select personalities featured in 2017’s Forbes 400. The series was conceived to promote that Forbes list on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and, in the case of the vertical versions, Instagram.
I also designed and animated the ‘Success Stories’ logo and ‘Forbes 400’ badge for use in the video series.
Art Direction, Character Illustration, Design, Animation, Editing
Commissioned to promote the Forbes Science article ‘This Is Where All Of That Dragonglass From ‘Game Of Thrones’ Comes From’ on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (in-stream).
Creating and animating the character designs for Samwell Tarly and the White Walker was a lot of fun.

As part of the multiplatform strategy marking Forbes’ centennial anniversary, I contributed four videos to the '100 Greatest Living Business Minds’ motion graphic series. Each video features the backstory of a prominent personality featured in 2017’s 100 Greatest Living Business Minds. The series was conceived to promote that package on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and, in the case of the vertical versions, Instagram.

This video was primarily created to promote Matt Drange’s “How Business Connections And Political Ties Helped Launch Trump’s Newest Line Of Hotels,” a story collaboratively reported by Forbes and ProPublica, on social media.
Provided with a script for the video, I pitched an idea that used a Monopoly board, as well as the game’s money, deeds, and cards, as the vehicle for the narrative to unfold. Co-opting those aesthetics (as well as adding a few Trumpian “easter eggs” across the board) made for a appealing, bite-sized gateway from social into the story.
